Lollapalooza 2011

The Lollapalooza lineup has finally been announced! It is a pretty nasty lineup and I am very sad that I can't make it. Maybe next year. If you are heading out to Chicago for the festival you should definitely check out City & Colour.

Finally New Incubus!!!

The time has finally come! Incubus is putting out a new album titled, If Not Now, When? hitting stores on July 12! They have been one of my favorite bands for years now. Brandon Boyd is beyond amazing and I can never get enough of his voice. Incubus is definitely a band to check out live. The show will blow you away. I have seen them at least 5 times and the shows just keep getting better. The new single Adolescents hit airways about two weeks ago. The new jam is heading back to the Incubus's old sound which makes me very happy. Everyone should definitely check it out!

Record Store Day!!!

Founded in 2007, Record Store Day brings together independent record stores and the fans to celebrate their love of music. Record Store Day takes place on the third Saturday of every April. This year it will take place on April 16th, which is this Saturday!!On this day, special vinyl and CDs are released, there are also a lot of promotional products made exclusively for this day. Over hundreds of artist will perform in store and do meet and greets at various independent stores across the US and in some countries across the world. To find a store participating in your area you can visit the Record Store Day site.

Tony Castles!!

I recently discovered one of my new favorite bands... Tony Castles. I was hooked after I heard their song Black Girls in Dresses. You can buy their album No Service on iTunes for just $3.99. Not asking much for some really great tunes. They have a similar sound to Vampire Weekend, but their is something unique about their sound. I love mixing their album in the playlists I create. They just seem to flow with the rest of my music. I am hoping to catch them in concert. Hopefully since they are from Brooklyn I will be able to see them shortly.
