Hipsters Are Taking Over iPods...

As if Hipsters weren't everywhere already, they are now taking over our iPods. With a new app called Pocket Hipster, created by The Echo Nest and We Are Hunted, Hipsters will now help you find new indie music. The app will feature little Hipster avatars that will go through your music on your iPod. They will then proceed to tell you how bad your taste in music is and suggest new indie bands you should be listening too based on your taste. You will be able to save your favorite songs and are are able  to purchase the songs directly from iTunes. Now you can walk around with that friend you have that always tells you about your next favorite band.

The Hunt Is On...For New Music That Is...

During a time when it seems everyone has caught Bieber Fever, it is so refreshing to find a place that new music is literally pouring out of. For me that place was my latest discovery, We Are Hunted. We Are Hunted follows what people are saying about different artists on Facebook, Twitter, Blogs and other social media sites. They use this information to create an online chart of the top 99 artists. This site allows music lovers to find their next new favorite artist. Also, the site directs users to buy the songs they hear. They encourage their users to purchase the music instead of illegally downloading it. They are looking out for the artists. For me We Are Hunted is like a dream come true. I am constantly trying to find new music and sometimes I feel like iTunes is very limiting with the type of music I enjoy. I'm excited to explore what We Are Hunted has to offer me. I'm sure all my other music lovers out there will really enjoy this site too.
